And my thanks to anyone working today to restore power to those of us that lost it due to the recent storms.
They were out early today and got mine on this morning.
Also my thoughts and prayers to the family of Jackie Green:
It's with heavy hearts we say farewell to one of our heroes in the Gulf Power family. Jackie Green, a lineworker with our MIlton Office, died while on storm duty in Leesburg, Va. Green was part of a storm crew we had helping restore power in the wake of storms that hit that region hard last weekend.
Green and fellow lineman, Jonathan Powell, were involved in a vehicle accident late Tuesday. Powell was treated and released from an area hospital.
Green, 56, was part of a 63-member storm team assisting Dominion Power in Virginia. She had been with the company 22 years.
Rest in peace!
