Carrying on the 4th of July
I normally carry when I am not at work, so carrying today is no different, but as I was getting my 3.8 fixed in my supertuck I thought about the meaning of today. Today I am exercising the very right that has been paid for with the blood of men and women on battlefields here, and all around the world. This right to carry is as precious as any right we have. It is our guarentee that we can have the final say to any crimminal or tryant that would try to take what is lawfully ours.
I think it is our responsibility to exercise our 2nd amendment rights on this celebration of freedom. As I was walking around the store, and purchasing my goods, including a box of ammo for the range today, I thought about our men and women: our sons and daugthers, brothers and sisters, husbands and wives, who are in foreign lands defending our freedom, and I decided I would do as Jack Nicholson challenged us to do in "A Few Good Men" "pick up my rifle and stand my post."(my favorite line in the movie)
So today, I will go to range, I will aquire my target and send some lead down range to celebrate my freedom, and my right to bear arms.
Today I will symbolically pick up my rifle, stand shoulder to shoulder with those men and women who stand the wall and defend my freedom by exercising it.
If you are in my neighborhood the loud bangs you hear will not be fireworks, but the sound of freedom and liberty, and the sound of thank you to those who have died to preserve my rights.
May God bless them and may God bless America
Merry 4th of July and happy fireworks to all.

No gun for me today, I'll be enjoying my liquid liberties with some red meat & catfish. Maybe in the morning, little XD9.

I wasn't sure if they made blue ribbon still or not. I know labatt blue is canadian, but I could not think of any premium US made beer with blue in it.
