I would completely agree the article and interview piece has media bias in it, why was the stuff in their about his son? It literally had NOTHING to do with the story other than make the guy look bad.

In regards to the section in red; start believing it. Police and BATF regularly abuse their power in situations just like this one and are rarely if ever held accountable for their actions. If the guy was Guilty of ANYTHING, why haven't the police pressed charges of any kind?

Precisely, we have a one sided story from a guy who got his noggin clocked and not the account from the police, the video shown is clearly after-the-fact and we have no idea what ACTUALLY attracted police attention or anything. We have no story here except an account from someone in a position to profit from spreading the perception of themselves as a victim.

Depends on the state, you can in AZ. You just can't drink. I CC into a place that serves 3-4 times a week.

EDIT: Just checked for Minnesota. No restrictions on bars posted..

So long story short, the guy was legally carrying minding his own business, and police beat the hell out of him for doing so.

All I know is Texas and you cant carry in a place that sells more alcohol then anything else. So Chili's and Applebee's would be all good in the neighborhood. But just cause a bar has peanuts on the counter or will sell you a hamburger its not alright. Also in Texas the rules on consuming alcohol while CCing are wishy washy (legal term). It says you cant be drunk but doesn't give a BAC level. So I know some people who limit to 1 drink a night and some who refuse to drink all together.

One of my good friends is the CCW nazi. His EDC is 2 glocks, 2 extra mags, medical kit, 2 knives, flash light, lock pick set, and who knows what else. I don't think he has had a beer in a couple years. Oh yeah and he drives a smart car hahaha.
