Lyme disease?

Has anyone ever had Lyme disease or known anyone that has? If so what kind of symptoms did they show? (Other than the bulls eye marking on the skin) Have they had any long term effects after it was treated?

Any information you guys and gals can give would be appreciated..

i believe it started or was first diagnosed a couple towns over from me in lyme ct. it does always have the red ring but if you get bit on the scalp or something it may not always be visible. a few of my friends have had it and it gets misdiagnosed pretty often because it shares a lot of symptoms with mono but i seem to remember joint pain being a symptom as well. one friend ended up getting it really bad and needing an automatic iv injection box thing that she had to wear for a few months. i dont think it ever quite goes away but im not sure as the long term effects.

I have been treated twice for it but they could not confirm that I actually had it.My neighbor did however have it..You feel like you have the flu.. Here are the symptoms Lyme disease: Symptoms - MayoClinic.com
It took my neighbor about 6 months to get right..This year the ticks in Tennessee are extremely bad,we live out in the country and have a big garden. The garden is the last thing I do at dusk, come in the house and get in the shower right away..
Deep woods off works well against them but I dislike spraying that stuff on me.As I am typing this I am covered with chigger bites, probably my second favorite thing on the planet..

It sucks, had it when I was younger, don't really know much on how they treated it, just remember getting quite a few blood tests done, giant shot of something in a long needle going in my butt cheek. (helped the nurse was cute) maybe some pills after.

The joint pain was pretty rough on me. Made my athletic season at the time suffer. Was a bit dehydrated too. It zapped my energy for the most part. At times I would get a hot flash and start sweating.

Work in the woods, play in the woods. Ive already pulled over 50 ticks off me this past month. maybe, 5 of which were Deer ticks. They were all cooked under the fire of the Bic.

Screw the lyme tick, now THIS one is scary! Will turn you into a vegetarian. At least it might be a savior in case of zombie attack.
