Cabela's has a similar sign. Concealed means concealed. If I'm taking it for service or trade, that's different.

Are you sure it's not just guns being brought in for service or trade in a case that need to be "secured"?

I walked in to Springfield Bass Pro just the other day as I have many times open carrying. Nothing was said, a week ago I walked in, checked 2 handguns in my range bag with a third on my hip open carry. Nothing was said and I didn't have to check it. As for other stores I can not speak on the issue but the Springfield store doesn't seem to mind. I also CCW carry in the store but that seems null and void since they allow open carry.

Most outdoor stores Ive been in allow lawful CC. However everytime I have bought a gun there I was escorted by a store employee carrying the gun. I asked about it and they explained it was for loss prevention because someone could easily slide a long gun down their pants and obviously stealing a pistol would be way easier. Your on private property anyways so its their rules. Just like when I go visit my parents my mom is not big on guns so when I get to their house out of respect my gun comes out and goes into my bag in my room.

In WI if a company refuses CC they must post a min. 3x5" label at every entrance. They are then liable for providing your safety. (last I heard. WI is continuously updating the CCW laws)

Illinois Bass Pro refuses to sell hand gun ammo to WI residents because of WI passing CC last year. I refuse to buy from them ever again!

Last I checked, the Gander Mountain and Cabela's signs are meant for people bringing in their weapons for service or sale and thus the weapons had to be checked in to ensure they were not loaded. It has nothing to do with CCW.

That is one of the most stupidest, saddest, believable things I have ever heard.

Sent from my NSA spy satellite.

Those signs are probably what the one in BP says, but someone probably got a case of retard and didn't read the fine print.
