Saturday was my Father's Day, my daughter has to work on Sunday.
Started out around noon and we installed 3 ceiling fans in the kids (exwife's) house, one in each bedroom.
My ex and I get along fine, I installed one in each of the kids room and told her to go buy one if she wanted on in her bedroom.
It was fun doing stuff like that with my kids...
Then on to the gun range....
We shot 1250 rounds with 6 guns.
Took the Glock 19, Glock 22, Sig P239, SA EMP, and the LCP.
We also rented a Sig p238.
I'll be selling the G22, it is a long story.
It runs fine, but I wanted to buy a G31 barrel for it and run 357sig, but this Gen 2 G22 is too old to do that.
The frame rails are not beefy enough to handle the 357sig round.
So it is either sell it, or trade it for a G31 or a Gen 3 G22 and then buy a G31 barrel.
Either way, buying or trading for a G31 or G22, I'll be buying the other barrel so I can run both calibers thru it.
Still just not a fan of the 40cal, but I want a full sized Glock that can run both 40 and 357sig.
I love shooting the 357sig round, although expensive, but want the option of 40 as well.
Remember how plentiful 40cal was after the last election?
Told you it was a long story...
G19 ran sweet with the Lone Wolf 3.5 pound connector.
Once I taught the kids how to use the short reset instead of letting the trigger go all the forward, they started shooting both Glocks better.
The P239 ran fine as always, but after shooting the G19 with the lighter trigger and the EMP, the DAK Sig trigger feels very heavy.
I thought I'd never sell that P239, but now I'm not so sure.
May sell it and buy another 9mm 1911..
Only shot the LCP to compare it to the P238.
I finally rented a Sig P238 and decided to just keep my LCP, the P238 wasn't all that after all.
P238 shot a little better and had less recoil than the LCP, but not worth selling the LCP and the extra money for the P238.
As crappy and long as the LCP trigger is, it's light weight and size truly make it the perfect pocket pistol.
Not worth the extra money and then buying holsters, mags etc..
I'll be keeping my custom Electroless Nickel LCP..
The favorite for everyone....the EMP..
The best running pistol I've ever bought..
BTW, my son is 21 and my daughter is 18..
Those are my kids, and they are great kids..
Then on to Bone Daddy's for dinner..
Bone Daddy's is like Hooters, but with better food and better girls..
What I had for dinner..
And here was a first, my son paid for dinner.
I didn't expect that at all..
Then I took them home, came home myself, and cleaned my guns for 4 hours.
I just finished..
I had a great Father's Day.
Sunday I have no idea what I'm gonna do..
Happy Father's Day to all you fathers out there....
They grow up fast, so enjoy every minute of their youth...
