Try not to use a Military base to run from the cops.

The guys that run the booth and the gates are mostly civilian contractors. The guy that shot the badguy was also a civilian contractor.

The barriers are still being worked on and the tire cutter failed to pop-up in time. It caught the chaser cops but the kid made it through. The tire cutter has been worked on since the incident and now works much faster.A new gate with much better security is also under construction right now.

If you want to get killed running the gate at a military base is a good way to make it happen and it does not matter who you are. There was a rather high ranking officer here in Oak Harbor who ran the gate while drunk one to many times. He was firmly warned not to do it again. He didn't listen and the next time he was shot and killed. When I heard the story, my reaction was just "oh well, he did something stupid and he paid for it.".

There must be more to this story. You can't just kill someone for running the gate.
