Don't forget they would've also had to have him pose with it before shooting him since there were bullet strike marks consistent with him aiming at the cops.

Go read your post 24 where you specifically state apprehension, making up a traffic stop, and taking him down. All 3 are blatant examples of illegal detention. I said things happened to you, you'd be screaming for punishment.

Is it standard police tactics to basically crawl over your partners to plant some bullets in the suspect? What if they needed to retreat.....wait retreat??? Hahahaha.....retreat. That is funny that I said that.
I guess it is OK to do that.

Putting aside all the legal stuff,(warrant, etc.) the actions of these officers was unwarranted. They were all a bunch of 'Cowboys", wanting to get in on the action, not even knowing what the action was! The guy on point should have been the only one needing to fire to eliminate a threat. 70+ rounds, that is nonsense.

really though if they approached him coming out of work and identified themselves and their intentions, he may have cooperated.

Yes, I said that, but I also clarified that it was IF they really wanted to arrest him, not serve a warrant. Hell, even serving a warrant would be safer if they ran up on him as he was getting out of his car in the driveway. What's your point? My point is I'd rather be taken for illegal detention than have a blatant execution by cop.

Links to said autopsy findings?
Also find it improbable that a combat vet would point anything as if to fire with the SAFETY ON!!!

unless he was assessing the threat because he didn't know what was going on.

What would you do when there is a possible breakin in progress? Leave your HD weapon on "SAFE"? Doubtful.
You draw ANY weapon for whatever reason, the safety better come off out of drilled practice. Otherwise there's no need to draw (or grab a rifle).
