An Army sergeant based at MacDill Air Force Base, whose car broke down in an unfamiliar Interbay neighborhood, was beaten by four people on the street early Sunday.
Sucker punched and then immediately attacked by three guys. Not much time to defend oneself.
Unacceptable for a service member - or any innocent citizen - to be subjected to something like that.
I would think that having better situational awareness and noticing 4 guys spread out like that might have stopped that whole situation from developing, but you never know.
Disparity of force...weapon's coming out on this one.

If he pulled out his weapon and killed them it wouldn't be news it would be a sad story about how some sweet little angel hoodlums got killed by some guy with a gun.

So now we have this victim I'm guessing white/hispanic and multiple black perps right? 2 whites attacked in Norfolk by a mob of blacks and I see both stories on XDtalk.
Little baby Treyvon gets NATIONAL media headlines, a bounty placed on the "attacker" marches, protests, vigils etc. Why, because he died? What if these innocent people being attacked for no reason die, would we see the same outrage?
When these thug, ignornat, primal savages start getting shot at and killed after attacking people for no reason AT ALL, is when the pendulum starts swinging the other way.
I am so sick of hearing about this. Notice its always MUTIPLE attackers or MOBS on a single person or 2 people?
When you see a thug throwing a sucker punch and soon joined by several other thugs. You don't have to see the mug shots to know what race the thugs were. It's a damm shame that this happens, and the attacking race involved is the first to claim discrimination. They wonder why other races are not wanting to associate with them. Just wach videos like this for the answer.
Why the hell do you never see the person being attacked pull out a gun and kill all of them?
Probably because studies of actual events have shown time and time again that if the threat is less than 21 feet from you then your holstered handgun is of no use to you.
This is a perfect example of why you still need to be very aware of your surroundings because by the time you take a punch to the face and 3 others guys are on helping your handgun might as well be at home.

Seeing this sickens me so much. There is absolutely no reason for an innocent bystander, be it civilian or ex-military (I would say especially for ex-military, but it is hard to decipher between the two when they are plain clothed), to be treated in this manner. IMHO these attackers, and anyone who acts in this manner, should be put to death. I don't care if they left the man alive or not, an attack on one man by multiple people is seen as a group of people looking to kill someone.
And in my opinion attempted murder is just as bad as actually murdering someone. We all know that if these guys only get jail time that they will be back out on the streets committing the same sh ty crimes or will be taking up money and space in a prison. So let's do this world a favor, bring back the firing squad and put these good for nothing, oxygen wasting, space taking piles of you know what in front of that line and get rid of them.
God this kind of news pisses me off. End rant?/
