I carry mine weather at work or not. I love the light and I carry another set of the rechargeables and the charger. I have to charge it like 1 time a month but it usually stops right when I need it so I carry the extra batteries.

have a serrated front rim that is usable for attacking/gouging an attacker's face, etc., somewhat lame, imo, but there none the less. They also have lanyard/pocket clip, and a polygon shape component so they will not roll, all making them more utilitarian.
PS: they also have multible light functions: night light, sos, strobe for confusion, push button on/off on the end so they can be made to function from an overhand grip, and more.

I got mine because it's really bright when I need it but doesn't have to be that bright all the time. I'm a mechanic and use it mostly for work but it's nice to have when camping or doing a little night wheeling.

Tac-ti-cal- Of, relating to, or constituting tactics.
Tactial meaning it has a strobe or made to be used in a tactial situation an example is is someone came into my house in the middle of the night, that was an intruder, seeking harm to me and my family, I could hit a different button and throw 600 lum of piercing hell fire light at them, blinding them, giving me added reaction time and debilitating them . They make them small so that people could use them along side of their side arm, also when I'm speaking of tactial I mean bad as flashlight and one that could potentially be used as a gun light like the one I've chosen to buy, it has 2 springs to make it safe from recoil, Also as stated it has a head on it that can be used to knock someone in the face or break glass, the difference between a "regular" mag light and this one is a mag light is huge in most cases, and that too could be considered tactial, I would not want to get hit with one or at least when I think of a "regular" mag light as like one that you have chosen to ask about I think about the ones that have a bulb and not an LED(older mag lights), the little light that I've chosen has 600 lum, I know the new mag lights are awesome as well but I was looking for a smaller light and one with alternative options. The term tactial could be used or titled to almost anything if you plan to use it in a tactial manner, so when talking about a tactial flashlight I mean one that has some added options that will make the already tactial flash light even more tactial in my hands. I hope this answered your question from a tactial standpoint I think I did. Everything in my life is tactial and if you want lessons I would be more then happy to teach you.

As I said mag lights are great I know they make them now small and bright as all. I have a few older "regular" long mag lights that resemble a big old metal bat and wanted something much smaller. 40 bucks is a steel for one of them !
