Off-duty deputy pulls gun on pregnant woman in Walmart line

So what is missing from this story? The big fat guy pushes a man allegedly verbally assaulting his wife? Or verbally chastising his wife for holding the line up? The off duty cop pulls his gun on the guy after being pushed?

Does making him a cop give him different authority and rights to pull his gun and point it at another person for being pushed? Or could a citizen with a CCP have drawn as well? Was it because the gfuy was so big that the officer pulled his weapon and he feared fior his life? I mean, does anyone know the answers to these question or is anyone from the state where it happened and can shed some more light on this?

I just find it weird that the big fat guy was arrested and not the off duty officer. If the officer was a citizen concealed carrying and pulled, would they have been let go too? Or, does it not matter if it was an officer or a citizen. The reason the weapojn was drawn was justified?

Nothing irks me more than when im in a hurry at freaking walmart and some moron goes through the 12 items or less line with a cart full because all the other lanes have huge lines. You know they are trying to avoid eye contact with you as your burning holes into the back of their head with you stare. It takes all i have not to be a jerk and make some smart sarcastic comment.

In relation to this story...yeah i would say the cop should be in some hot water for his actions...

Pushing anyone is assault, so yes the fat guy gets cuffed. But the cop needs reprimanded as well, possibly charged with something. Assault w/ deadly weapon? But I'm sure he won't

Without seeing the surveillance video (if there is some,) either there is more to the story that did not fit into the media’s nice little plot line, or yes the officer should be arrested, fired at the absolute very least.

plain clothes and off duty cops seem to have the mentality sometimes that they expect to you to know they are police despite not being in uniform.

Yeah I fully agree with there being more to the story. Especially since no clear footage of the security tape released. Also, one side of the "dispute" was interviewed as well.

Already a thread from a couple months ago when it occurred.
