Question for those that CC
I am a mechanic by trade and hopped in a customer car today and found loose ammo and empty brass in the driver's door cup and map pockets. They were 38spl. Now when I get my permit there will be restocking supplies in my truck but I plan on being less conspicuous. Luckily there wasn't a gun in there. Am I a little over aware? Or is this normal for those with revolvers?

Normal? I wouldn't call it normal.
Brass is a little easier to police with revolvers, because its not ejected after firing. But I still don't keep it laying around in my vehicle.

So, there were a bunch of shells and some casings.......
Not sure what the question is. The owner obviously isn't all that concerned with housekeeping. There wasn't a firearm laying around so....???

I do my best not to advertise, anywhere. That means no stickers on the vehicles, no stuff lying around, no open carry, no tie tacs etc. But that's just me.

the map pockets he's just messy and doesn't clean up after himself in his car, but better than leaving them on the ground were he shoots.
cupholder hes inviting disaster, almost begging someone to see them and break into his car looking for a gun. IMO very poor decision. I use cheap magazine pouches that I didn't like hooked under my seat to hold my spare mags, I put spent brass in a plastic bag (keeps them together and from making my car smell like cordite) in the trunk
people break into cars in detroit for a few quarters, they will definitely do it over brass.

I used to go to Wisconsin every day before they allowed CC. Before I crossed the border, I used to have to stop on the side of the road to unload my XD and put it in a case. Sometimes I would loose ejected rounds in my car and later on, I'd have to crawl around on the floor and look for them under the seats so a mechanic or car wash guy wouldn't find them. I never left spent cartidges or unfired bullets laying around in the cup holders or even the glove box.

There's a 7.62x54R round in my center console right now... And no, I'm not running around with a loaded mosin in my truck that being said, I don't make a habit of keeping live rounds or brass in my console. Just happened to find one in my truck bed and grabbed it. Even then, it was covered as it is an avalanche that I drive. I need to take it out. Or shoot it. Probly the latter

As long as you didn't find dynamite, it's no worry.

We live in the country and drive pickup trucks with tool boxes..I am always finding loose 22,s because those little cardboard boxes always open..But the bigger caliber,s I would say someone is a little sloppy..

Kind of makes me wonder how well that person is with his guns and security?
