I joined..... not so much because I really wanted to, but a local range requires that you be a member of the NRA. (?). Fine... got a deal on a 3 yr membership they were offering. May or may not renew... we'll see.

Do agree with a lot of you..... if they'd put the money to actually doing what they are supposed to do and defend our 2nd. Am rights rather than wasting it on all the junk... they'd be a lot more effective.

If you think they are not in it for profit then you need to get real.

Got the same DVD, and a week later a request asking for a political contribution. I would love to give the political contribution if I trusted where the money went. Call me a skeptic, but I'm the same way with a lot of charities. Show me how my money is spent and it's yours. Just throw a label at the top...Sorry.

I agree that alot of money seems to be wasted on mailings. I am a member and continue to renew. Once in awhile I will give a little extra. I believe that they are like many lobbyist but if they were not in the fight at all then Our rights would have been trampled on even more so than they have.

It's more important to know how much of their funds they spend on their cause.

I don't have issue with them making money if they EARN it.

for a million a year, I expect to see chucky schumer and the rest of the anti gunners birch slapped around on the floor of the senate. literally and figuratively.

I don't get a single phone call, and rarely get junk mail from them. I must have checked a box or something. I've heard others say you can call and opt out of solicitations. If it's bugging you so much might be worth the call.
