Worst electronics company?

What do you guys say?

My vote is for Sony. They have been on an official boycott for about 3 or 4 years for me now.

I was reminded again why last night. I bought a new TV for the bedroom, specifically remarked to my girlfriend to not even look at Sony's because I will not buy their products. We didn't get a Sony TV. But when we got home and set it up, before bed I wanted to see how it looked and sounded. Well, the DirecTV guy has to come out and add a line so no TV. I grabbed a Sony DVD player from another room that I hadn't used since last year, at which time it kind of worked.

Nothing. Crappola. Tried 5 different DVDs, took it apart and cleaned the lens. Nothing. Threw it in the garbage.

Everything Sony I have ever owned is in the garbage now. It is all junk. 63" TV that I bought in 2004 crapped out in 2007. Sony Vaio laptop made it about a year before overheating problems.

Not to mention there customer service is awful.

They do suck, even before they break.

As far as their other products, they seem to be good......until about one month after the warranty expires, then they fall to pieces, burn up, or just won't function.

Funny story on the 63" DLP. It was about 1 month out of warranty, and all the pixels started turning blue. Like 40% of the picture was just blue. Customer service absolutely refused to do anything. I could take it in and have it fixed for $800 was their answer. Paid $2500 for this thing 3 years prior.......

Well, fast forward about a year or two, I am looking around online and come across a tidbit about a Sony extended warranty on my model of TV due to blue pixels all over the screen. YAY!!! I get my TV fixed!!!

Nope. By the time I saw that and called them the extended warranty had expired also. "But I called you 2 years ago with this issue!!!" LOL. They don't give a crap.

Sold my $2500 TV to someone for $100. You could still watch TV. It was just a very blue picture.

I've been having good luck with LG, so I think I'll stick with them for awhile. Way back when they were gold-star (a couple of decades maybe), they were the absolute cheapest garbage around, but their newer stuff has been treating me well.

My job use to be getting tv's fixed or having a tech come out if I could t figure it out. The two brands that we always had come back were vizio and RCA.

I do not like Sony either. TWO 36" televisions. Both went out and needed a power supply card. Easy enough fix, less than 2 years old PARTS NOT AVAILABLE. Bought 2 Vizio 37" and haven't looked back. No more of my money goes to Sony.

+1 they can be good at first but there life expectancy for anything is about a year. And at that time it costs more to fix it then it does to buy a new one.
