"Cheap ass pocketknife, ninja sword and airsoft show" would be more accurate.
Now I admit it's been a few years since I've been to a show but we used to see one of these tables for, say, every 15 tables of guns. Now it seems like it's 1 in 4.

Although we do have plenty of guns at the shows around DFW, there are many a table with crap on them..

It must be a regional difference. The shows I go to up here are most entirely guns, knives or gun related gear. No jerky. No tables of all air soft.
Come to think of it, every time I've been to the big show in Tulsa, I haven't seen much of that either...

The shows in Reno are usually 75% Guns, 10% Gun related equipment, 15% Crap-ola.
Although I went to a show down in Las Vegas with my dad a few weeks ago. It was 90% crap, 10% guns.
No one there was even willing to sell decent AR parts, it was all the el-cheapo Chinese made rail crap that are better suited for air-soft.

the one i go to is alright, mainly newer handguns. i do see some vendors selling purses, jewery, wooden guns, tazers/stun guns, & weird jerky like alligator. i noticed big decrease in knife vendors since i last went. one non gun/knife vendor i do like are the ppl that make those fresh sugar cinnamon coated almonds. i always buy a few bags and munch while i look around.

The "Gun and Knife" show usually has one of each. Some good ammo deals to be had, but the rest is mostly junk.

I would say that it is all up to the promoter,what he will allow at his show..Here in Tennessee there are some very good as well as some well..not so good shows..The best deals always seem to be out in the parking lot..

the one that comes here about once every 4 months is stupid... last time i went they where selling bed sheets, jerky, really crappy knives as well and a ton of mall ninja stuff...
way over priced on guns and what not...
a buddy and i went to look at eotech and of course look out for the knock offs... went and checked out a few and they wanted about 50 to 100 dollars more then the local gun sales place.
have not found one good deal on good ammo...

I stay away from gun shows now. I just go down to the local shop if I wanna browse. Don't charge me nothin to look and they are more than happy to let me see anything I want, even if I ain't gonna buy it.
