I assume someone doesn't have to have a gun if they say they do, and even hold their hand in their pocket as an indication they do, isn't that just as good as having one as far as being able to defend yourself with deadly force is concerned? Maybe we can get someone in law enforncement to comment?

A finger in the pocket shown and brandished to look like a weapon makes it armed robbery.

There's no way for the victim to tell if the perp has a real gun or not!

Putting your hand in your pocket and claiming you have a gun is just as bad as having a gun.
As for a CCW, I am in fear for my life. I will assume he does have a gun because I am not a mind reader nor am I going to play the guessing game and I will be justified to use lethal force.

True. If you have a reasonable fear that you are going to be the victim of deadly force applied against you in my state, you can use deadly force to prevent it.

But it is a sad state we live in when we are more afraid of protecting ourselves and family than of the bad guy. There should not be any question in our minds that we might go to jail for defending ourselves.....

We should not have to be afraid to defend ourself's in this country. I wonder how the story would end if there wasn't a video to prove the fact that it was self defence? It's pretty sad, really.
