Arizona Governor Jan Brewer vs. the Phoenix Suns owner

The owner of the Phoenix Suns basketball team,
Robert Sarver, came out strongly opposing AZ's new immigration laws.

Arizona 's Governor, Jan Brewer,
released the following statement in response to Sarver's criticism of the new law:

"What if the owners of the Suns discovered that hordes of people were sneaking into games without paying? What if they had a good idea who the gate-crashers are but the ushers and security personnel were not allowed to ask these folks to produce their ticket stubs, thus non-paying attendees couldn't be ejected.
Furthermore, what if Suns' ownership was expected to provide those who sneaked in with complimentary eats and drink? And what if, on those days when a gate-crasher became ill or injured, the Suns had to provide free medical care and shelter?"

This was her response that she posted on her Facebook page.

This all happened in 2010 during the worst of the immigration protests and such. Many of the Suns players and owners protested the laws... Ironically Steve Nash was one of most visible detractors, and he's an immigrant from Canada.

I am pretty sure that the Suns owner rarely SEES an illegal, let alone has to deal with them or the ills that come from illegal immigration.

Nope, he probably never sees the illegals that come in and clean his toilets and mow his lawn behind the access gate....so he sees no problems with illegal immigration at all.

This is why most of the detached elite have the views they do.

Exactly.

People are dumb to think they can stop the influx of illegals. It would be like trying to stop the flow of drugs. The difference is, while you can't bust every person consuming the drugs, the government and its agencies can go after the companies hiring the illegals. Oh, but wait, that means less or no money for re-election from said company. Also realize it's not just small mom and pop businesses hiring these people, it's huge multi-national businesses such as Tyson hiring them. Guess which wins, re-election or stopping the illegal hiring?

The government hasn't done anything because, in essence, they're paid to. If the illegals had no job prospects, there wouldn't be a reason to come.
