Hi, Mike. Glad to hear the daughter is not injured. Sucks about the car. My old car was in the shop for a month before they told me they were going to total it.

Thanks guys! She was pretty shaken up but God put a lot of good people in her path that morning. Several people stopped to help and stuck around to witness that the other guy ran the red light. She even got a date with the guy that first stopped to help her!
Our plan was that her Jetta would get her through college and into her first real job. Then, she could buy her own car! Well, we are now thinking that perhaps we accelerate that, use part of the money for a down payment and finance a new(er) car for her. Small, fuel efficient used cars are crazy expensive at the moment and there are some pretty good finance deals on new vehicles!

Now that is a new way to get a date! I don't know if I will be telling my two girls this new trick.

Big 4X4 Trucks are real cheap now days  do you pay for gas or is she?
Good luck on finding a fuel efficient car if you end up going the new route I would say to look at the Hyundai cheap, good MPG, Good safety rateing and cheap, best part is the 100,000 warrenty
