Babe magnet

I just returned from a brief shopping trip to the mall with my daughter and six-month old granddaughter. This was Annie's first time out in such a public place. Being a thoughtful dad, I held Annie while my daughter shopped. Let me tell you, I have never been approached by so many women. Every other one of them had to stop, talk to the baby, ask me about her, comment on theirs, etc. Also, a few guys chatted up my daughter...she is a former Miss Ohio finalist, by the way. What an interesting morning!

it's just too bad that I seem to repel them, though.

Small children are only slightly more effective than a puppy.

I was chatted more after I was recently married and again after we had our daughter than I ever was while single.

Babies and puppies are indeed great magnets for women, but in my experience so are horses! I can't tell you how many girls came up to me when I'd be at the NY state fair with my Belgians and want to see them, pet them, sit on their backs etc. This was especially effective if we had any young foals with us. All I'd have to do was be in the stall grooming them or playing with them and let the girls walk by . Too bad those days are gone and now I have to rely on my charm and looks now that I don't live on the farm anymore

Maybe it's just me, but I get so annoyed when random people come up and start talking to my kids. I want to tell them to go away and mind your own business, but I end up just smiling and go along with it.

I tried to take a horse to the mall, but stupid security people turned us away!
