Range Report - Shooting with Dustin from Top Shot season 3
We had a great time today shooting with Dustin from Top Shot. 
We're big fans of TOP SHOT on the History channel. I mentioned to Josie that Dustin invited me to go shooting. She begged me to bring her.
My daughter thinks I know all famous people because I'm able to interact with them from time to time on Facebook and twitter.
I didn't know what to expect. This was her first trip to a gun range and her first time firing anything larger than her pink Red Rider bb gun.
To my surprise, Dustin gave Josie a lesson with the Savage Arms Model 93R17 TRR-SR. By the end of the day she was connecting with tiny steel targets. (barely visible in the video)
Turnout was around 250 people but it did not seem overly crowded. Dustin and the folks from Savage Arms did a great job of spending time with everyone, answering questions, giving pointers, and being great hosts.
I was having so much fun watching my daughter shoot, I only took three shots myself. The Savage 110-BA made it easy to reach out and touch steel targets 300 yards downrange. 
This was a HUGE proud parent moment, Thank you Dustin!
The people of Zavalla should be proud.

I made the comment to my wife as we watched the most recent episode of Top Shot that despite the contestants usually being rather gruff I'm pleased to see none have picked on Dustin for his faith.

Very cool. There are some folks on that show that I'm not sure I'd enjoy getting to know, Dustin seems like a real class act though.

Dustin is one of our few favorite people this season, and I hope he's in it 'till the end. He just seems a natural with every weapon they've thrown at the contestants so far this season.
The revolver exert who just got chopped, Cliff Walsh, and Gary Quesenberry (also gone), and Chris Collins also seemed like good guys.
