What'a bummer

Just bought a new XDM 4.5. I took it out to the range and crank out about 50 rounds. The 4.5 was sweet to shoot and handle, but here is my concern. Immediately I noticed the cases were heavily burned from back gases to about a third of the case just short of about .25 from the extractor base... kind of ugly... right?
Question: has anyone had this problem on a Springfield match barrel straight out of the box?
I called the factory and yes they want to see it but they are on LOCK DOWN for inventory. I have to wait a week to sent it off and wait for it back. BUMMMMER.
I currently have a XD40 that Ive pushed over 10K+ rds through which I also carry, I thought I was getting another jewel, hopefully not a lump of coal....

I haven't seen that on any of my XDms or XDs.

What type of ammo were you using? What caliber?

Most likely this is due to the ammo used and there's no problem with the firearm.
