Well, there's no site like this site But, you might want to check out Sig Talk.

http://www.sigforum.com is the equivalent to this site for Sigophiles. A great group of folks over there.

The instructor told me to rotate the pistol almost upside down to see if it would still fire. It did. Something must have re-engaged, but I typically don't fire pistols upside down.
What happened was the trigger bar spring broke. They should be replaced every 5,000 rounds. The spring does a couple of things, one of which is to hold the trigger bar firmly up against the sear mechanism. After the trigger is pulled and before it is released, the spring allows the trigger bar to move out of the way when the hammer falls and the sear moves. The "click" of the trigger reset is where the trigger bar snaps to the correct side of the sear mechanism because of the spring tension. (It's impossible to describe it in words accurately, so I hope this made some sense).

When the spring breaks, the trigger is disconnected from the sear mechanism, but if you hold the gun upside down it will reengage the sear.

Hi,

if you get rid of those Trijicons, I'll be happy to take the off your hands. The stock SIG "dot the I" sights are teh suck.

Exactly right, just like any other gun. I was firing a 228 and the trigger just stopped working. The instructor told me to rotate the pistol almost upside down to see if it would still fire. It did. Something must have re-engaged, but I typically don't fire pistols upside down.

I'm sure you meant to say "..You can't go wrong with sig..." I only wish they had stainless steel frames instead of alloy. My understanding is that they all have alloy frames.

That problem will happen with most auto loading handguns. Most use a trigger bar and a little spring to keep it in action. Same thing has happened to my XD40 (just about an hour and a half ago actually.

Do not forget the wonderful yet inexpensive and fun world of the 10/22s and more and more. next thing you know you will have a room full. I at first thought, ok 1 good bolt action rifle, one semi precision rifle (SR-10), 1 good shotgun (mossberg 500 tricked out) a 44 revolver (its nice) and a couple good handguns. well that was the start. now i have 26 fricking weapons. including 2 10/22s, which i can shoot all day for a few bucks.
