hey, anybody catch this show last night? they featured the Barrett .50 Sniper Rifle. that thing is SICK!

one guy nailed an insurgent in Afghanistan at 2430 METERS with this thing. Talk about amazing...

I caught the part about the Barrett. That's a nice machine. Shooting down block walls would be fun.

The Mythbusters show that was on previously had a good segment on shooting firearms underwater that was pretty interesting.

The sure messed up a nice shotgun and I would have thought they could have found something besides a nice old Garand to put underwater to fire......

The Barret is a "stealth weapon".

Seems like one of those things that would have just scared people into thinking they should be banned.

overall, it was a pretty cool segment. i don't know if it necessarily would scare people. the segment on the Predator recon/attack vehichle was a bit more disturbing just in how they gave the guy a 10 minute headstart in an SUV and tracked him down in NO time. police agencies would LOVE one of those, i'm sure.

This show is pretty kewl, I caught the episode last week and this week. The sniper rifle was awesome and last week they had a weapon that could shoot around corners without exposing yourself. It was awesome.

reason they said it was a stealth weapon, is because the bullet will hit them a lot faster than they'll hear the sound.

oops im an idiot, meant to say speed of sound! would be prettty freaking awsome to have a gun that did shoot that fast though!
