That's the one. Same thing with Toby Keith and his songs. The line about "We'll put a boot in your A$$, it's the American Way" is not censored, but rap songs are.

Probably because most people that listen to Garth Brooks or Toby Keith do not do drive-by shootings or engage in other juvenile delinquent behavior on the whole. They're usually adults and just good ol boys, whoopin it up...not gang banging wannabe crooks that glorify a criminal lifestyle.

So the rap stuff is censored and the country stuff is not. Rap music encourages more delinquent behavior and is listened to by more impressionable kids than country. Demographics is in play, most likely.

Thats the only explaination I can come to on why one station censors the word and another does not.

(Me? Don't listen to most county and cannot stand rap music at all..sorry.)

All of that is 100% correct. But, and there will always be a but, the other lyrics are usually considered in the censorship. The particular song I was talking about was called "Shake that A$$" by Eminem and Nate Dogg. It is about girls at a dance club or night club. Nothing about a drive-by or anything delinquent. It's not like the censors go around bleeping every time foul language is used. I just don't agree with the double standard.

The same thing goes for Dave Matthews Band. They were playing one of his songs on one of the rock XM stations the other day, and there is a line in there that goes like this:

"Tell me are you satisfied with F---ing,
Don't walk way, watch you little F---."

Not bleeped. If anything should be, that would be it. Two f-bombs in the same line. But since it the Dave Matthews Band, it slides. If it was Jay-Z or Usher, it would have been.

Yes, Buble is awesome! I've got his newest and want that DVD.

As far as country, you guys forgot Keith Urban. Not the absolute best voice but an incredible, passionate musician. Truly rare for anyone popular in today's music.

Did you know that he used to be hooked on cocaine? (Urban, that is.) I can't remember what the name of his group was at the time, but his music was, well, let's just say it was a little more uptempo!

Keith Urban?

Really, now...thats not real country music. I am a native Texan, so I know what country is supposed to look and sound like and that guy is as country as Taco Bell is real Mexican food.

Besides, you cannot be a real country singer with a last name like "Urban." He's probably never ridden a horse or driven a pick-up truck.
