UPDATE: Not to spam or anything, but I though you guys might be interested in this (BTW, I wrote this -- it isn't a cut/paste).

On the Send-A-Brick site, there's now a system where you can donate $11 and a brick is sent to your senator or representative of choice in your name, with all money going to actual bricks, shipping or site maintenance. In the two or three weeks that the system has been up, we've sent out over 1800 bricks.

We, in the past 4 days, used over 40% of our monthly bandwidth allotment, meaning, we're getting LOTS of hits. I just the past hour, we got over 2600 unique IP hits.

Why is this happening? Well, get got several mentions by several big name news outlets, including Boortz, Rush, and a TV interview segment on Fox News. Papers all over the country are printing up letters and editorials written by us. Radio talk shows all over the nation are mentioning us. Our wonderful PR-lady in DC says that she's constantly getting phone calls for interviews.

Guys, this is not going away, but getting bigger. If you sent a brick, thank you so much! If you didn't, please consider doing so. Even if you have sent your fair share of bricks, consider doing so again. They're getting there! Check it out!

Congressional leaders in Washington have gotten bricks in the mail from a group that advocates building a border fence, states in the West and South have drawn up tough anti-immigrant laws, and ordinary citizens, such as Janis McDonald of Pennsylvania, who considers herself a liberal, are not mincing words in expressing their displeasure.

Cornyn is one of many politicians who got a gift from Send-a-brick.com, which allows visitors to purchase a brick for about $11 and mail it to their representative, a weighty hint to build a border fence.

Sen. Wayne Allard, R-Colo., laughed about the heavy bricks he has found in his in-box, saying he'll have to weigh them against the letters and calls he receives from both sides.

"The question I have is, how do they get that through security?" Allard said. "The second thing is, how did they afford the postage? Now that is a motivated citizen."

THEY ARE GETTING THE BRICKS! This is EFFECTIVE, and not hard to do. Please, keep hammering at this. The message is spreading that Americans are very unpleased with the actions of our elected officials.
