There is a new's article about a Sheriff in mississippi that is being prosecuted by the federal government for the wrong reasons. Click the link to read the article, then click here to sign a petition to get the charges dropped.

I have read the petition and also looked at the
petition signers.

What really gets my goat is the fact that there is
always this one advertisement right in the middle
of the names of the petitioners -

http://millslawfirm.com/?gclid=CISY2...FSJ9NAodizyqhA

otherwise I would sign on.

federal charges should be brought against FEMA for failure to act. Just another reason why I hate our justice system.

Here Here.

The entire thing was screwed, and it's interesting how they'll start banging down the little guys before they ever think of the guys on top.

Martha Steward <> Enron <> Adelphia <> WorldCom

This country really is bassawkwards sometimes. This guy did nothing but try to help. I know quite a few diabetics, and without ice or electricity, there as good as dead. I commend this man. However, like Ed Ely noted, there is a giant arse ad on the Page. 1977 Signatures Total

While I agree with the spirit of what you're saying, the chances that you'll see a preferable petition to sign aren't great. If you find one, let us know. Otherwise, consider taking part in one of the only ways for the public to help, imperfect though it may be.
