Disabling a nail gun safety is easy.
What I wonder is what was the presure of the compressor set at. Hard woods or you want the nail to sink deeper you turn up the presure...... A guy I work with stuck a 16 d into a tree from about 2 feet, the nail didn't go too deep but I had to twist it around to pull it out. Either way, I don't want to be in front of either of those................. Also notice the bit about trained professionals, they hinted that you have to be a cop or ex millitary to handle a firearm............................ guess I shouldn't own a gun................ Besides that they showed the entire length of the bullet and shell, not just the projectile itself............ misleading..............

Interesting comparison test, but I think it's like comparing apples to oranges.
Still, I wouldn't want to be shot by either of them. Actually, I don't want to be shot by anything. Ever.

I note that the Canadian site quotes 150 m/sec, which works out to less than 500 f/sec, while "How Things Work" states that "some" can reach 1400 f/sec.
I would be willing to bet that the top end might be achieved out of a "power hammer", the sort that uses a .22 rimfire blank for its impulse power, they are usually used to drive a nail into concrete. I would make a collateral bet that the electric and compressed air ones only achieve <500 f/sec which doesn't make them anywhere near comparable to a .22LR rimfire at >1100 f/sec. Have to call BS on that video. PS, I have been shot with a .22. Through and through about 4 inches of my upper thigh (it's a long story) and the bullet exited and bounced off the wall on the other side of the room.
