Is Illinois the only state where the Brady Campaign feels that they are making progress?

TX AG

Any of you that have been hit with child support will agree with me on this one. KEEP THE AG OUT OF GUN CONTROL.

Unless you want 20% of your salary garnished as "Ammo Support."

Or even worse, a man in a wheelchair may tell you "no guns in the house if you have a biological child."

It wouldn't surprise me.

Of course one does have to consider the source, but some of their "facts" are not particularly factual. Such as:

In TX,

"State law forces police chiefs and state sheriffs to give concealed carry permits (CCW) to anyone who can buy a handgun, allowing them to carry loaded, concealed handguns in public (known as ?shall issue?)."

In TX, police chiefs and sherrifs have nothing to do with "giving" a "CCW" to anyone, they ARE part of the review process. The are not "forced to give" because they don't give in the first place, but they could sure as heck hold it up if they wanted to.

"State law allows residents of some other states to carry concealed weapons in this state without informing local police."

Which is a bad thing?

"But Texas cities do have the authority to post signs at public parks and other city property to prevent concealed handguns from being carried."

Which is either a blatant lie, or way out of date. A law was passed in 2003 preventing cities from posting public property.

Maybe I should tell them so they coudl downgrade TX to something like the "below F" that we really deserve.
