Checked into a shady hotel a couple days after my father's funeral.

Went to room, and was removing bedspread(as always) then looked down and noticed a stain on the box springs.

pushed the matress over to see a HUGE blood stain. IT was probably 2.5 feet across, on the boxsprings!! I can't imagine what that matress looked like.

We changed rooms. In the next room it was equally disturbing, but w/out the blood. We slept fully clothed, on one of our own blankets. We had crack heads and prostitutes knocking on our door all night, and more than one fight was heard.

I still shiver when I thinbk about that night.

My most memorable moment for my then 7th grade son and I. Was a couple of years ago. We were in San Diego were were at a Comfort Inn off of hotel circle. Anyway they had gone through renovations to their locking mechanisms on the door a key with a chip.

We had checked in, stored our stuff and went about our business we returned late that afternoon. He enters I'm coming behind him fumbling with a sack of groceries. Suddenly he re-appears looking like a cat that just ate a canary. I'm thinking to myself WTF I stare at him for a moment and he says go look on the bed dad?

What I found was a drop dead gorgeous blond spread out and snoring on the first bed. tits up (enhanced) without a stitch of clothes on (true blond!) I quickly regrouped shoved him out of the room and grabbed up the desk clerk.

Events shortened.. She and her friend were assigened to the room next door, somehow her key accessed her into our room. It was all innocent, my son gained a life experience and my wife still gives me the evil eye

We recieved our room complimentary for our stay good guys there.

A few of us on our rescue squad went down to NC for a bus/semi truck extrication class. We got to our motel and checked in ( 4 of us, 2 rooms). My buddy drops his bag on one bed, and we heard a squishing sound, the bedspread is soaking wet. Don't know if it was water or what, didn't get close enough to smell. He went to complain to the manager, I went to the bathroom. I opened the door and got hit in the face with full on ass stank. someone, last occupant, housecleaning, whoever, took a huge dump and left their log on display. We got another room. If we hadn't, i was gonna sleep in the back of our crash truck!
The only other bad stay in a hotel was when my wife and I got married in Iowa. We stayed at a hotel/casino named Harvey's. Middle of the night the fire alarm goes off, in addition to the usual bells and buzzers was a recording of Bill Cosby. "Remember, take the stairs"

Booked a room at the Key West Crowne Plaza last spring break! WTF was I thinking?...took the family and all.
Had a bunch of girls that partied until around 2 and then fought the rest of the night...not to mention we were on the top floor under the old chiller (big a/c unit) that rattled and ground all night. Went to make a cup of coffee in the morning and the cups they supplied still had lipstick on the rim.

Needless to say, we got a free upgrade to a suite for the next night.

I did get the girls back in the room next to us...I called their room at about 6:30 and asked for Mark...they tell me no Mark there...I called back about every 15 minutes thereafter asking for someone of a different name. I figured that if I did not get to sleep while they were partying and fighting, then they were not going to get any sleep while I was getting up and around for my enjoyable day in The Keys!

My older sister found 2 mice making love under the bed in a Motel 6 room in New York about a year ago, I thought it was hilarious at first but then I started thinking, where else had the rodents been in the room.... *laughs*
It was definitely an awakening experience and I never looked at motel 6 rooms the same again.

About two years ago I was in Houston at a Quality INN, jumped in the shower and had just walked out when the door opened and a maid walked in, she screamed and bolted.

TAKE ON ORBITZ ? Not without a lubricant you don't. I booked a supposed 3 star hotel in Arlington.RAT BAG FLOPHOUSE!!! I called them to cancel and was informed I would be charged any anyway(despite misrepresentation of quality). I called HSBC to dispute the charge and they wouldn't remove it because it was a prepaid reservation.Now today I open my mail to find I've been billed twice from the hotel.

I NOW UNDERSTAND THE MOTIVATION NEEDED TO GO ON A KILLING SPREE!!!
