I burned a CD this week of fast, loud stuff for the morning commute. It includes:
Muse
The Vines
The Strokes
The Kinks
Radiohead (Yes, they have a few loud songs)
It's a pretty good mix.

Thanks for posting those videos, Grave. I'm realizing from the movies and anime I enjoy that I was into steampunk before I even knew it was an official "movement". Good stuff.

I really like this band as well.
Reminds me of my old 80s stuff, Peter Murphy, his old band Bauhaus, older Joy Divison and New Order..

I listen to EVERYTHING, from Jazz to Rock, Rap and Reggae, Drum n Bass, Metal, and anything I have not yet listed (except modern R&B, I hate that stuff).
But right now, I keep goin' back to Ol' Dirty Bastard's album "Return to the 36 Chambers," and this track - Hippa to da Hoppa - is kickin. RZA from Wu Tang does all of the beats on the album. I know this isn't for everyone, but those of you that appreciate good beats, The RZA is it.
