Angry sister in law woes again!!

some of you may remember when my SIL brought some Dbag druggie to our family Thanksgiving. well shes testing my patience again.

my fiancee and i have been on a family plan with our cell phones for a long time now. when fiancees company gave her a co. phone, her sister wanted to replace her line. so for past 6months or so it has been myself as the primary and SIL as the additional line. we have 700 anytime min, unlimited texts, and a data plan (both blackberrys). we have gone over our minutes one time and it was both our faults. but this time takes the cake.

i call tmobile today to let them know i am switching to AT&T for the iphone. everythings cool except he tells me we are over our min. ok no biggie we will pay for it. but the rep was like no i dont know if you understand how over yall are. so he tells me i have used 132 anytime minutes (not including mobile to mobile and nights/weekends) and she has used 704. 704!!!!!!!!!! our plan has 700 between the two of us. and from now until our cycle starts over on the 12.24 if we use our phone for anything but m2m and nights/weekends, it is going to be a whopping 45 cents per minute. good thing our contract is up as of today and im getting new service tomorrow and she will be on her own.

i told my fiancee she better call her sister because im bout to rip her a new one. i mean i guess it isnt that big of a deal because she is going to pay for the overage. but come on. seriously 704 minutes to yourself NOT including nights weekends and m2m??? i know what its from to. shes been talking to her loser a$$ b/f that has verizon. ugh!!!!

rant off. thanks for reading if you did.

Hate to break it to you but its your fault. The only person you can trust to be in a contract with like this would be your wife, and even them you have to keep an eye on the usage to be safe. Dont ever co-sign for a friend, ever.

We have 3 people on our family plan also, we also have 700 minutes i don't think we pass 200 minutes between the 3 of us. but we all have unlimited text and send as a group about 7,000 text a month.

Drop her line and do it NOW. Her felon BF is bad news, and the fact that she's perfectly fine dating him kind of scares me...

I learned 20+ years ago never trust family or friends. OK, I dont want to get flamed for saying that and I love my family and friends. It is just bad to do business with them. My wife and I have no kids it is just us. I would not loan money, co-sign or add anyone to a phone plan. I am not saying they would not pay the bill but why put yourself in that situation? I also dont loan my truck or car out wich really pisses off my brother in law. He is always wanting to barrow it to haul something. One day I told him to get rid of that POS Lincoln that he just has to have and buy a pick-up! Just my .002 cents, Be Safe, Dave

If you don't care for your SIL, then why would you give her a way to further annoy you? If you want her to have the smallest impact on your life, keep her out of it as much as possible, don't let her in so deep as to where she's messing with your finances. I know she's your fiances sister so she'll always be a part of your lives but you can still have a seperate life away from her if you set it up that way. And as far as who's welcome in your house, that is completely under your control if you choose it to be also.

+1. I love my family and friends, but certain ones I won't borrow a damn thing to because they always want something for nothing and will not return the favor, and the reason they need to borrow stuff in the first place is because they're too cheap to get their own! But they don't mind using the crap out of my stuff, so people like that don't get squat from me anymore, and I've been lovin' it ever since. BTW, anybody I know who is responsible and would do the same for me, can borrow my stuff anytime. That's how I do it.
