wow...just found out brooklyn, Ohio has a ban on the sell of firearm ammunition. went to the wall mart for some wwb, and the guy tells me theres a city ordinace banning ammo in the city limits.

can you buy a gun? Down in Madison, Wi you can buy all the ammo you want but have to leave the city to buy a handgun. No handgun sales allowed.

those are both odd laws. how is banning ammo sales going to stop crime? or even slow it down?

Just jump on I480 West and get off at Great Northern Blvd. in North Olmsted. Take a right and then you can pull into Wal-Mart on the east side of the street or Dick's on the west side of the street - they both sell ammo. And Dick's has a sale on right now for Remington UMC 9mm f/$5.98 box of 50 and UMC .45ACP and .40S&W f/$9.98 box of 50. These prices are within a few cents of WWB at Wal-Mart.

I shoot at the West Branch Rifle and Pistol Club (membership only) outdoor range in Grafton off of SR83 south of SR303. Our club rents the North Olmsted Sportsmans Club indoor range twice per month in the winter. I much prefer outdoors, even in the cold...within limits of course.

It's sickening reading about stuff like this. Law abiding gun owners get viewed like they are gun toting cowboys of the wild west, ready to shoot down anyone. Why are people so afraid of guns in some areas? Next step for that city will probably be banning ownership of guns all together, and ammunition. Then they will probalby require you to help an attacker with his gun when it jams too. I know one thing, I'm new to the city I live in and when it comes to voting for anything local I'm going to be sure to find out what their views are on such laws as handgun bans and ammunition bans. Gun control works in small steps, and an ammunition ban is the first step of the process. Only a matter of time before that city bans all firearms in city limits.. or at least tries to.

yeah i was pissed, i felt like driving to city hall. bastards. anyway, like there isnt another wallmart 10 min away

what are they trying to prove? you arent stopping anything, people will just drive to one of the surrounding 2 wallmarts.
