Just told my 10 yr. old son that Barney died, and he said,"The guy in the costume?" I guess he thought I was talking about Barney the purple dinosaur. We both got a laugh out of it atleast. I think Don would've laughed too!!

Yea, I remember him when he was on the old Steve Allen
show. In fact, that is where he got his start. A street reporter would come up to Don and do an on the street live person interview. Don sure played the role. I believe that he was referred to as "Shakey" back then because of his demeanor when being interviewed. Real funny guy. I will miss him. So will the entertainment world. Ed |

Yeah, his schtick was acting like a high strung nervous chihuahua on Steve Allen. Very funny. Thanks Don.
