My birthday... I know, it was by my choice and long story short in Texas, active duty military do not have to wait the 3 day wait to get hitched after filing... So I got a half day off for my b-day from my supervisor and we headed to the courthouse. The rest is history and I am soooo glad to be married to such a beautiful and wonderful woman... but how I wish I had picked a different day... For the last 12 years we celebrate our anniversary that day, not my birthday.

I actually don't mind because I have no excuse what so ever if I ever do forget my anniversary...

All in one package! I totally understand the part of celebrating your anniversary and not your birthday. That could suck.

That sucks man but yea I personally don't do celebrations anymore(havent in years) I just like to hang out/take it easy and relax.. No big deal just another day

x2. im older, yipee. the most that can be twisted out of me is dinner with the fam. last few b-days ive pretty much done nothing at all, prefer it just slides by unnoticed.

It seems its becoming harder and harder to find dependable friends these days. The one good thing is now you know who the dirtbags are and what to say when they need something. People like that really piss me off

I hope next year is better

This combines two of my most hated things: birthdays and trying to socialize in groups.

You really only have one birthday, and I couldn't care less about mine, though my wife insists that it doesn't matter whether it matters to me, but i think just the opposite. If it doesn't matter to me, then it shouldn't matter to others. It's always a let down, you try and maintain perspective but there's always that tiny 7 year-old inside that wants to feel 'special' on your birthday, and when it just turns out to seem like a chore it sucks. Grown adults who make a point of noting their birthday in hopes of getting that: "Oh! Happy Birthday!" from you get nothing more than a grunt from me. Some people are such absolute babies about it it just sickens me.

Then there's trying to socialize in groups, learned my lesson about that one years ago. Forgetaboutit man,the logistics are impossible, people are choads, not worth it. If you must celebrate it, keep your company limited, less likely to come out the next day pissed.

BUT, on a more personal note, Happy belated Birthday, because I wanted to say it, not because you expected it.

This is how I was. My wife is the reason I tried to give a sh*t this year... Guess I'm just gonna ask for ammo and blast it off every year. Or work...

I spent my b-day cleaning out peoples dirty ass cars if it makes you feel any better (work at a carwash) and on top of all of that made only 3 dollars in tips and I worked 5hrs on the clock sat there for another 3hrs trying to get back on the clock. Anyways happy belated b-day hope it goes better for ya next time
