Lets hear it for messy closets!!!!!!!!!! I love mine

Story time: So, I'm getting ready for drill, get up, cut my hair, take shower and shave, get my cammies on. I didn't pack the night before (I was tired, and didn't need to leave until 10 AM this morning) so toss the few things I'm takng with me on the bed, 6 magazines, 3 pouches, m9 holster just in case they issue it to me this weekend (were doing RIFLE qual) warming layers and gloves...

pulling stuff out of the closet can't find my 8 pount cover (standard uniform MARPAT camo cover) can't find it....

spend 20 minutes looking for it....

10 minutes until I have to leave.....

call a friend in my squad....

can you bring me a cover?

Sure, but you know drill isn't until next week right?

Drill for me is 1hour 45 minute drive one way, and I was going to miss class. They announced it wrong a while back and I wrote it down wrong.

Found my cover 1 minute after that conversation under my magazine drop pouch, I am so happy!!!!!!!!!!! (We switched from desert to woodland so I hadn't used the cover in half a year)

So yeah, I love my messy closet!

Pictures!!!! or it didn't happen!

Thank you for your service brother. I'm thankful that I can live in a country I can take classes like Surefire, Magpul, NSSF to train to be proficient with a firearm that is not banned (yet), and protect and defend my country and my home due to guys like you, and your brothers in arms.

Thanks.

HAHAHA I did the same thing a couple of months ago, I couldn't find my belt. I showed up at the Armory late freaking out, 1SG hates it when anyone is late, and the parking lot was empty. It was only an hour drive for me. I thought I was the only one who did that kind of thing.

lol my unit had recently decided to start having 0500 PT formations which means i have to get up at 0400 to get there on time. I usually don't have a problem with saturday drill but on sunday sometimes i forget my boots, belt, patches, something, I've learned to keep an extra of all the little stuff inside my car in the spare tire area
I have 4 of these containers full of uniforms from my deployment

number one rule I used to teach my troops is always have a backup hat in the car, at the job, stash one just in case.

I didn't get there! Couldn't find my M9 belt though so I took a standard one. but no M9 so didn't need a load bearing belt, and could get away fine with the spare.

I have 2 of those, and I have spare stuff but this is the first drill where we are wearing woodland camis, so I had desert spares all over the place.
