That's good to know. I did not know that and my wife works at a credit union and makes cards all day! :P Oh...and did I mention my dad has worked at a bank my whole life?

The things that fly over my head.

Thanks bud.

The USPS has minimum purchase amounts on their automated postal centers.

Its usually more than the cost of mailing one package or envelope, so you have to buy a book of stamps also to complete your order. Its not like you have the option of using cash, I have always found that to be strange. Of course, the gov is probably immune from these laws/contracts.

I'm kind of on the fence about this. Yeah, it sucks if you don't want that much stuff, but if you use your card the company may actually be losing money. If that happens too much, they'll go out of business. I've never seen a $10 minimum, usually it's $5. I guess it depends on what you're buying. I usually carry some one's and fives anyway just to have some cash.

Or you could just buy 2 more stamps at .44/ ea.

I've run into that a few times when I couldn't get to an ATM. Good info.

Around here they get around that little rule by adding an extra $1.00 to all C.C. purchases under $5.00.

My local NAPA has a $10 minimum. I just buy a couple of filters to bring the amount up. Would prefer to keep a good relationship with the parts man that push this.
