Range time was good ... I finally remembered to shoot a few mags one-handed (strong and weak hand ... well they both are kinda weak but you know what I mean...  )
I started off shooting at 17 yards just because most of my practice thus far has been ~7 yards and under... 20% hit rate on my 8.5x11 target :-/
I know part of that is that I have not yet shot my new gun enough to get a feel for where POI is... but it is also because the stock sights do me no favors. The front sight is too wide and the box+ball sight picture does not enthuse me much.
I'm hoping to have Sevigny Carry night sights put on in the next week or so, so maybe that will help.
Still had a blast ... and would have even if I hadn't hit anything 
Speaking of blasts, some guys came in while I was on the range and shot a .44 Magnum ... that thing sounded like a cannon... and the shock wave made me jump!
