Sad thing is that for many years they had the most die-hard fans there was. They used to pack them into the stadiums. With a good fan base and essentially zero performance since about 1963, I'm thinking they need a complete overhaul in management, ownership, and about everything else.

Oh, and being born and raised in Detroit area, but now living in MO, I have moved up in the world to become a Chiefs fan. At least they can win one (but no more than 2).

I remember going to games at Tiger Stadium when I was a kid.

And my bet is that the NFL isn't going to just yank the Thanksgiving game, they'll probably figure out a way to move the whole franchise out of Detroit. Maybe it will even be a dramatic scene like those semi trailers pulling out of Baltimore in the middle of the night when the Colts decamped for Indy.

Team Name Change
The Detroit Lions name should be changed to the "Detroit Tampons" as they are only good for one period and have no second string.
