Seems like the service men and women of this country have died to maintain liberty, not to give up liberty because they died.

Would you accept slavery if it meant that no one ever had to die to protect liberty? The answer is likely no. But if youre willing to give up liberty because somebody dies in a different set of circumstances, how is that any different?

If a gun range thinks it can prevent suicides by implementing one policy or another, that is their right to try it. And it is their right just the same to do nothing other than to trust their customers will use their weapons lawfully and responsibly. Personally, I will vote with my dollars and reward those that respect both my time and my ability to act as a responsible, free citizen of this country.

I fully agree. From the beginning I said that I would not support any new laws to try to stop these things from happening. I was meaning that I could see if gun ranges start implementing rules to try to stop this from happening.

I wish I could have renamed the post. I can see how it may sound as if I was meaning that laws need to change or something like that. That is not what I meant though. I was only meaning that in Orlando alone we have had 4 suicides and 5 deaths in 3 months at gun ranges and I wish people would stop doing this. We have plenty of wooded areas if they really want to end things.

In my experience, 90% of people who trash talk San Fran have never even been and their opinions are either stereotypes or pure fabrication (or a combination of the two)

I've been visiting San Francisco 6-8 times a year for the last 3 years. I've been all over that city, i've walked through Market and 6th at 2 in the morning, I've walked through Castro, walked up to Haight Ashbury where all the bums are, down to Junkietown at the end of Haight and Golden Gate Park.

I've never been hassled, never been mugged, never seen a bum do anything but drink beer and ask for money.

Maybe i'm a lucky one, but i was a victim of robbery in my own hometown, and never been hassled in San Fran.

Your mileage may vary.

9 deaths in 3 months is a drop in the bucket compared to most other deaths out there.

hardly something to get worked up about.

It was a total of 5 deaths (the mom killed herself and son). The only thing I'm getting worked up about is where they are happening. I know that 5 people dead is not very much at all. Its the location that bothers me.

And the whole "i don't want to be around when someone offs themselves" thing? Get over it. 30,000 people kill themselves a year. The odds of you being around when someone does kill themselves by any means, let alone with a rented gun at a range, is slim to none. You're more likely to be IN a horribly violent car crash than you are to witness a suicide.

this doesnt make any sense.. I didnt say anything about classes.. that wouldnt help. what I said was that renting to parties that bring their own weapons might be a help, or renting to people that have friends with weapons might be the answer. Im not an employee, i dont deal with this daily but I am sure I could figure out a system to stop gun stores from getting in the news for suicides.

dont talk to me about odds and bull**** like that... I didnt mean that literally, I meant the person that has to witness that might be a little f*cked up. and I want to atract MORE people to our sport, not less. Im more likely to be in a bad car crash then i am to be hit with a falling meteor. doesnt mean that being hit with a meteor doesnt suck.

and also dont talk to me like im a fvckin anti... we're on the same team man.
