The whole thing looks like a big migraine for me.

Hopefully this kid stays on the good side because its very likely, and known, that the worlds best problem solvers takes a government role somewhere.

Anyone ready for anti-matter bombs? They'd make nukes look like firecrackers.

The idea of anti-matter is interesting, but the concept of having an anti-matter bomb big enough to do real damage is for the movies.

Angels and Demons is complete trash. They made this movie to make fun of us who know real facts. They put a spin on it to make people who have a thing called common sense and a desire for truth to be made fun of by the public. I didnt know Angels and Demons had anything anti-matter related but im not suprised now.

Anti-Matter bombs are NOT far fetched either. The amount it would take to destroy the entire world has already been made in the world via magnets and atoms smashing into eachother. The amounts truely documented are grossly under estimated.

This is coming from CERN.

Quote:
Can we make antimatter bombs?

No. It would take billions of years to produce enough antimatter for a bomb having the same destructiveness as ‘typical’ hydrogen bombs, of which there exist more than ten thousand already.
Sociological note: scientists realized that the atom bomb was a real possibility many years before one was actually built and exploded, and then the public was totally surprised and amazed. On the other hand, the public somehow anticipates the antimatter bomb, but we have known for a long time that it cannot be realized in practice.
Is it possibe? Yes.

Is it far fetched? Yes.
