Have several watches I wear on different occasions, but my favorite is a Bell & Ross Function with leather band.

Casio Data Bank 300.
Stores appointments, phone numbers, different time zones, calculator, timer, stop watch and alarm. Takes tons of abuse. This is my second one. I have used these for ten years now. No style points at all. Just function. http://www.gadgetbargains.com/psa-dbc310-1.html

Since I retired, I no longer wear a watch. Time no longer rules me, I rule time.
For formal affairs I will wear the unpretentious Eddie Bauer watch my son bought me a few years ago. Tom

I wear a Polar Heart Monitor watch, so I can keep an eye on my HR when I "do exercise".
Believe it or not, I bought a cheapo Casio Diving watch back in '84 when the wife and I went to Hawaii, and even though the bands are broken, it is still keeping time. Those things must have terriffic batteries in them. I have people question me about that, then I pull it out and show them. Never had the back off...nuttin... Cant complain about that watch. All my expensive Anniversary Company watches with the diamonds encrusted, all them batteries are dead. I think I paid $15 for that Casio. John

Reviving an old thread, I just picked up a new watch. My requirements were:
* Numbers on the face * Titanium construction * Automatic movement (I never want the watch to need to be opened up) * Not break the bank Turns out, I couldn't find anything with all four attributes. I did, however, find a nice one with 3 out of 4 (it's stainless, not Ti): ![]() It fits nicely on my wrist and I like watching the automatic movement through the clear back. The seconds hand also moves in tiny increments, like 5 per second. Overall, for under $150 shipped, I have no complaints. I'll take a pic of it with my XD in my hand later.

![]() Got this in St. Thomas for about half the retail price. I know most Americans don't like haggling, but I absolutely love it.
