I know how most of us feel about GT, but...
We're all reasonable people here, most of us have nothing at all against the GLOCK as a gun. Most of us simply don't like the angle of the grip.
Also, most of us think that GlockTalk is full of a bunch of rabid, incoherent Glockophiles. That said, this thread is, to say the absolute least, very interesting: I think my 21 has proven its durability I'd LOVE to see THAT done with an XD. Heck, I may even do that with my XD if I ever get the nerve to. Probably not though... Discuss!

Good stuff! Without Glock Talk, we would not be
having fun on this forum. GT was the original exposure route for the HS2K, now known as the XD. The rest is history. Go ahead and give the XD the treatment. I would like to see the report, pix and video. But, quite frankly, why put it through all that abuse since we know it will stand on it's own. Ed |

I have heard a lot of neg talk about Glocktalk. But I am on there everyday, and I really haven't had any neg experiences. I usually don't mess w/ the religious topics, and a few others. But if I wanna know something, it's a good place to get info. And any questions I post there are usually answered.
I only have 1 Glock, but I ask questions about all sorts of other handguns there a lot - simply because the traffic on the sight is tremendous. Also, a great site to sell stuff on. |

Only because then people will see my gun and say "Damn dude. Did that thing get thrown out of an airplane or what?" And I can be all like, "Well...yeah. You mean you don't do that with yours?" I just found the thread interesting and a bit extreme and though I'd share.

Weren't all those tests on a Glock "officially" done already? I mean, I've seen the ads in gun magazines about the torture tests Glocks go through. Why would someone else do it to their gun? Seems like beating a dead horse. Pure overkill.
I trust my XD's quality and durability. There's no point in sending it through all those tests of endurance. Besides, if it's sitting in a bucket of sand, then it ISN'T next to my bed, locked and loaded, for if/when a BG breaks into my place. I'd rather it be at the ready if I need it, than to be buried somewhere in a stupid unnecessary test. Didn't someone else mention on here about giving their XD a torture test?? Did that ever become a reality? Oh, wait. Yes it did. 'Nuff said.

I've been a member of Glocktalk a LOT longer than I've been here. Why do you have to lump everyone into the same category and bash us all?
I'll be the first to agree that there are plenty of morons that frequent there, but with over 53,000 members, you're going to get that. This forum has less than 8,000. Wait until it grows for a while and see who comes out of the woodwork. Frankly, I see a LOT more Glock bashing here than I see XD bashing over there. I happen to be quite fond of BOTH XDs and Glocks. Both are excellent guns with strong and weak points, but seeing crap like thisjust plain makes me feel unwelcome here. Sorry, just had to put in my .02 |

No, there's just a lot of it that goes on over there. Just like the AR-AK thing at ARFCOM. No offense intended. Truth be told, I do frequent GT as a lurker and find it to be a fairly informative site. Anyway...please don't kill me in my sleep. :P
