Don't know if I would buy one, but kind of fun to look at.

I kind of feel in love with the spring assist knives. There are a bunch of them out, I think everyone except Spiderco has one.

Why is that? Are they expensive to produce?

Don't know, maybe they lagged behind in R&D, or have enough faith in their thumb hole capture. They produce a really nice sharpening system, and there knives are pretty good.

Who knows, maybe spyderco will adapt and implement whatever factory process it takes to produce a spring assist knife.

I bought a Gerber package deal for $11.99 at Wal-Mart. It came with a 3.5" gerber fold up knife and a swiss army like tool.

The gerber does have a couple of knots in the edge from cutting cardboard, but it still a good knife.
