I carry a CRKT M16EDC I got from cheaper than dirt for a steal. I like the knife alot. It does not hold and edge quite as well as my Buck knives but I have found a lot worst knives out there. Check Cheaper than Dirt there selection is not great but if they happen to have the knife your looking for you usually get a pretty good deal on it.

I have had this knife for years and really like it. Light and tough...I have abused it and cannot kill it off.

I just found this on the MI State Police Site:

Am I paranoid or is this something to consider? BTW - I'm considering the Kershaw Storm II. It's relatively inexpensive and will go good with my bitone sc9.

I've got two knives that are every day carries for me, usually both at the same time. Different knives for different purposes
![]() Kershaw 'Blackout' great knife, a little on the small side but I keep it sharp enough to shave with. "Spring Assist" is beautiful, and skates by as legal, for me at least, so I love it. For slightly beefier needs Benchmade Griptilian: ![]() My favorite knife I'd have to say. She is my baby. If you haven't played with an axis locking knife I'd recommend it. It takes a little getting used to at first but once you are, you can close the knife with a flick of the wrist just as easy as you can open it, and no fingers have to cross the blade path. As much as I like the Kershaw I avoid liner locks now if possible, I've seen them fail too often, and I'll trust the BM far more than I'll trust most other folders... Plus Benchmade has the lifesharp program *thumbs up*

Mad Dogs Knives by Mark McClung are handmade in America and from what I've read on tactical Forums, they are considered excellent. He has a wide military following. They are way too expensive for what you are looking for, but I thought you might be intrested in reading about/seeing some of them.
http://www.mdtactical.com/md_price.htm The above sight doesn't show the pics I discovered, but this ones does. http://www.mdk.idv.tw./e_index.htm Not all can afford, nor probably desire his knives (I can't afford them), but he is a recognized expert from what I've read in the field, so I thought I'd present it here for your pleasure. He even makes swords and axes. |
