Got a Tac Sol PAC-Lite Barrel for the 22/45 today PICS lc

Before Pic, My ruger in the middle there obviously. Not sure what gun that is on the left though. :

And now with the addition of the new barrel:

Going to hopefully get out there tomorrow if I wake up early enough. Grab some more Mini-Mags before I go as well.

??????????????????????

Is the Pac-Lite a direct replacement? If so, how
much time and effort to do the replacement yourself?
How much did it cost?

It's said to be a direct replacement but mine needed some adjustments to get it to fit. The bolt didn't run smooth in the chamber and I couldn't get the main spring housing to swing closed.

The gunsmith at the store I purchased it from fixed it for me though. He said there were some high spots he had to smooth down.

It was like $226. They had some cheaper and some more expensive like int he $320s but they came with iron sights and a rail already installed.

It's considerably more light than the factory barrel/reciever.

How do you like the fit of the 22/45 compared to the XD? Is the grip angle the same?

I ask because I am shopping for a .22lr to practice with. It looks as though I am looking at the Ruger and the Buckmark.

When picking up the 22/45 the grip seemed long from front to back, other than that it was good.

Nice!

I always wanted to try one of those. I think Chrome posted one a while back, gray receiver and he had the frame done in silver.

Edited to fix the url

I love mine, very light weight, extremely accurate, and is great for bowling pin matches, I clean up

not the best for bullseye shooting since it is so light, but with enough training, should be something someone could get used to

more precision and accuracy from match barrel and longer sight radius, extremely ligher (they make the smaller versions, great guns to go camping/hiking with), and they look pretty damn cool, your mileage may vary.
