Did you notice the Finnish M-39s for sale? Haven't seen those on the surplus market in years.

Now..if they start offering Swede Mausers again...all will be right in the milsurp world again.

Aim is a great company to deal with. I just got in a crate of very nice 8mm Mauser for cheap from those guys...time to get the VZ-24 and 98k out for a shoulder-bruising session!

Yeah, I'm thinking the Mosin (any variant) is my gun of choice for tenderizing my shoulder.

And those M39's...well, if the interview goes well and I get the job, I'll have one. Probably in the next week or two. Hobocircus tricked me into wanting one .

Also, I've been thinking -- I intend to get a S&W .44 Mag 629, and it occured to me "A nice lever action in .44 Mag would go good with that .44 Mag wheelgun."

I wonder who put that idea into my head...*cough*brickboy*cough*

You guys are seriously going to be the death or at least bankruptcy of me...

Yeah, you'll love that 44 mag Marlin. Load it hot with Hornady 300gr XTPs for the piggies and load it with 44spl cowboy loads and let your 7 year old practice without hearing protection. Its really a very versatile rifle and one of my favorites.

Careful on buying your first lever-gun...they're like Mausers. You'll start with one, then you'll end up like me with 7-8 of the bastards and ogling even more of them. Theres a nice, early, half-magazine Marlin in 444 sitting in a pawnshop by my house and I really think it is going to follow me home really soon! I really don't know if I have a use for the 444 Marlin caliber, but its a really nice rifle.

It just never ends...get use to it!
