You know you are too fat when......

A WOMAN rushed to hospital with tummy trouble, fearing she had eaten a dodgy kebab, was shocked to give birth instead, a British newspaper reported today

That actually happened to a friend of mine.. I don't have all the details, but she's a lil on the heavy side, a porker by no means, and went to the hospital with stomach pains..

Low and behold, 15hrs later she had a son...

My wife was born this way. Her mother was large but not terribly so. Her mom also had a very irregular menstrual cycle to begin with and there were no other "normal" pregnancy symptoms. I'm not sure how long it was between the time my mother in law knew she was pregnant and when my wife was born, it wasn't hours but it wasn't very long.

Not all women stop menstruating. Also, if the baby is carried high, it doesn't show as much. As far as the lack of kicking and the cramps, you got me on that...

That's exactly what my thoughts were!!!!! A woman can still menstrate while pregnant like gsfmiker said. There are other things that can stop a period as well.. Stress, thyroid disease, etc. Actually my wife and I found out she was 17 weeks pregnant just 6 weeks ago! With me just being fired, moving back to NY, and getting married soon, life was pretty stressful for her. Her family also has a history of thyroid disease which can halt a woman's menstral cycle. Well, after 2 false negative prego tests we were a lil nervous that something was wrong... So luckily her annual checkup was around the corner! Well, nothing was wrong! My wife is PREGO! It's pretty funny before we found out we'd talked about starting a family in December, well our lil one didn't want to wait that long!

Strangely, this kind of thing happens all the time. My wife is a nurse and recently took care of a girl who sat on a toilet for a dump and had a baby instead--not a clue she was ever pregnant. Mom & baby were doing fine at last check.

Some pregnancies are like that--totally stealth.

then I stand corrected, heard of this but never put any real thought into it because I always figured it cant be true.....now Ive been ed-jum-acated.

maybe the heartburn I get is because im pregnant...?? wait, Im a dude, so maybe not, but then again....hmmmmmm

actually I thought these tales were like urban legends or an excuse that some crackhead broad told the police when she left her baby in the toilet in a train station.....now that happens!!!!

stealth pregnancy.... funny term

Come on guys!! Next you'll tell us that these women didn't even have sex or know they had a guy's penis inside them!! Give me a break!!

I have no clue how a woman couldn't know she was pregnant. I have 3 kids. Believe me: pregnancy messes with a woman enough so that even her MAN is miserable sometimes. If her man is miserable because of her being pregnant, then she has to at least KNOW she's pregnant! I would think she would have a few tell-tale signs along the way: late night cravings for cottage cheese with onions, pickles and ice cream, increased appetite, mood swings galore, weight gain, discomfort, lack of or change in her period, heavier/lactating breasts, feeling the baby kicking inside, morning sickness (or all day sickness)... the list is almost endless. Maybe her water breaking would be a clue??

I call BS to these stories. I'm not calling you all liars, but I think these women had to at least had an idea that it might be pregnancy. But to have NO idea until the baby actually came OUT?? Come on.
