I think he was smart to defend himself and his wife from their bedroom, no need to go looking for people in the dark if you dont have to. Chalk another one up for the good guys.

Scary stuff. They cut the power and phone lines... these people would have been in big trouble if they did not have a weapon nearby. And I think a little luck is involved in that he awoke before the bad gys smahed through a window. He had time, it seems, to get prepared and find out that his power and phone had been disabled, and time to get in a defensive area. Great post - thanks for sharing it here.

Good news. Great news would have been that both BGs were now dead.

When I read these things, I notice that it's rare the press and/or police provide details. I think it would be helpful to know more about the incident. For example, what weapons were involved, how many shots were fired, type of ammunition used, how many times was the BG hit, etc. Yeah, I know I'm dreaming. But the info could be helpful for other innocent civilians to learn about things that worked & those that did not.

Good for the family, Keep us up to date on this story. You always here stories about people protecting there property and then getting there asses handed to them in court because the crook sued them.

Sure glad they posted his address. Now the BGs know he is down one gun as the police had to take his. The press are F&@*ING STUPID! Sure he is willing to defend and maybe the BGs will stay away, but did we really have to know his full name and address?....mmmmmm.....If I were King things would be different.

I agree and another reason to always have a back-up gun in the home.
