Another good thread almost ruined. Just move to a gun friendly state and be happy.

Find me a pro-gun, strong on defense, Republican candidate who won't seek to hamstring modern science in the name of mythology and I'll support him all the way.

Sorry for your hassle.

I love NH.

I'm 18, and even though federal law says I can't purchase, I can get a concealed weapons permit. Some one else made the purchase "gave it to me" and I carry legally 100% of the time.

In NH

Walk in Police Department
Fill Out Paper With 3 References (Not even checked)
Wait 2 - 3 days
Cruiser delivers permit to house
Give Officer 10 dollars.

That is the greatest thing I have ever heard. With your permission, I'd like to put that in my sig, with your name credited, of course.

Concerning gun laws, here in Kentucky, you don't need a permit to own or buy a gun. When you turn 18, you can go out and buy a rifle or shotgun, take it home the same day. When you're 21, you can go out and buy a pistol, take it home the same day... all those assuming you pass the background check, which usually doesn't take long.

We, unfortunately, here, have to take a CCW course before even applying, which is quite annoying. I haven't done mine, yet, mainly due to the fact that I'm in college, and I don't really need it just yet. Once I'm out of college, I'll definately be getting the CC permit. Just a matter of what to use, though I'm probably gonna use either my Springfield 1911A1 GI, or my XD-9 SC.

hmm, well I guess my xd will not be coming with me on my road trip up to New York in three weeks, I had even thought of stopping by a range while up there..guess not.

In NC we have it farily easy...for purchase you either go to sherrifs office, have the quick bacground check and pay like 5 bucks...and you can get 5 permits at a time.

or

if you go to a gun show where permits are done on site, take 20 minutes to do the same thing and get the same up to 5 permits...

or get your ccw which isn't hard and you no longer need individual permits to buy..

There it is...

Everyday, somebody here gives me an example of either ****ty winter weather or wacky gun laws and makes me feel fortunate that I live in Texas.

Yes, it happens on a daily basis.

The example usually comes from the left coast or the northeast.

This was today's example.

Thank you,

- Brickboy240

Yeah, and he too (I am guessing) is laughing at the silly gun laws you other have to put up with in "Occupied America."

Trust me, he is as thankful as I am that we're treated like adults as far as guns are concearned.
