No photos, but I did buy a nice Marlin Model 1894 Carbine in 357 magnum for 270 bucks. It is an early one...without the annoying crossbolt safety. Now, the only Marlin lever guns I am missing are the bigbore 444 and the little 318 Bee. Lever-guns rule!

(actually, I do know where a nice, early 444 is...collecting dust and I pray nobody buys it before I get to it in a month or so!)

next...

Does the anticipation and wait excite you? Does the thought of someone else getting it before you can get your heart rate going, the adrenaline pumping, and make you want to go right then and there and buy it?

Sorry...I just know the feeling and thought I'd jab a little. Good luck! When you get it, be sure to post pics.

Here are some pics of my birthday/Christmas gun! A laminated 91/30 Mosin-Nagant!

Here it is with my M38

Another with the M38

Look! Both rifles made at the Izhevsk in 1942! They're brothers!

As always, the very hi-res versions are available.

I just picked up my first gun, an XD 40 Service in black. I originally ordered a G23, but I went XD instead because the grip fit better, and it was cheaper. I've only fired a pistol once in my life. Can't wait to go to the range on Saturday for my CCW class.
